Lock laundry room in a duplex?

Hi, BPers! I'm house hacking my first duplex in Northeast Minneapolis, intending to live here for a year before moving on to my next property. I just bought the place and checked out the inherited tenant. Before my new tenants move in, I'm changing the locks, using Landlordlocks.com, since that seems to be a favorite in the forums. To save some money, I'm planning to buy new deadbolts but just replacing the current locking knobs with non-locking knobs.

My question is whether it's worthwhile to buy a locking knob for the shared laundry/furnace room. Currently, that room has a vestibule lock, so you need a key every time you go in. It's a bit of a drag for me and for tenants. Is it worth the extra bit of security? I suppose if a tenant left the door to the outside unlocked, then locking the laundry door would hinder an intruder from accessing the room. And locking it would reduce the risk of kids getting in there (if a family ever rents the place).

Thanks for your thoughts!
