Company renting SFR

I have a SFR in Memphis, TN. a potential renter called about the property and advised that the company they work for, which is out of state, will be paying the rent. So, my questions are - do I and can I run a background check on the company? What about credit and back ground on the renters? And they are looking at taking possession in about a month. Should I continue to search for potential renters or should I offer to reserve the property for X amount of money?

Welcome to BiggerPockets! Do you have the name of the company that will be paying the rent? In the pass we've had different employers that gave their workers a monthly allowance for housing. Now, for our lower end properties there are several state programs that we participate in that pays for the tenants rent, but most only do up to six months that we've worked with.
