what to put in a rental Stainless Steel Vs. White Appliances

Hi, I'm working on a new rental I bought and we are torn on what color appliances we should get.

Stainless Steel would look much better (in most people's eyes) but it cost slightly more and the biggest issue we have is against DENTING.  We feel that renters might abuse the appliances and dent them badly (it does not take a lot to do that)

White appliances are lower cost and don't dent very easy.

I'm less worried about he cost because it is only about $400 difference.  I'm worried about durability.

What are people's thoughts, I think Stainless might help rent the place quicker, this is more of an upscale area.

THANKS (my first post)

Glen

I always go with stainless.  It elevates the quality of the house instantly when tenants see stainless appliances which gets you tenants faster and promotes higher rents too.  If the tenants dent the stainless that's on them and comes out of the deposit, so the dents should not be a concern for you.
