How to get tenants to pay utilities
Does anyone have any thoughtful strategies to get tenants to pay utilities?

@Josh Carriere when I advertise the unit, I tell people what utilities they must pay (usually for single family homes they pay gas, electric, water, sewer, trash, and plowing). When they come to fill out an application I have it listed right on the application. Then when we go to sign a lease it's right in the lease what they have to pay. They are responsible for calling the gas/electric company and switching it to their name.
