Dogs and rat poison

Here's a horrible one for you. Tenant calls last week to say her dog is dying. She had only just bought the dog 4 months earlier. Well, from start symptoms to end symptom (death) took 2 days.

Final word from the vet - rat poison.

It would appear that the neighbor had been throwing chunks of rat poison into their own backyard and front yard, the tenants dog had found a hole in the fence, got out, feasted on the poison. And downhill from there.

So just so you know, when you buy rat poison and it says to keep out of the way of dogs - it really isn't joking.
