mold issue

Last winter we had substantial rainfall. It took 4 mos. before i could get a roofer to the property and it just got worse and worse. I even had some partial ceiling collapse in one unit. I've since installed two new roofs on the two duplexes, repaired the ceilings and painted.

I put th property up for sale, received and accepted an offer, however the inspection indicated staning in the attic area. I had a mold inspection done which cost $1,100. He said thinks look dry but recommended mold remediation at an estimated cost of $4,500 t0 $5,000.

Does this seem a reasonable sum? If I had a painting contractor go in and kill all the mold, would that suffice?
