Do you need RE attorney when using a property manager?
Hi all,
I'm currently in the buying process for a long distance SFR buy and hold. If I am using an established property management company, do I still need to worry about utilizing a real estate attorney? To my understanding, you would use the attorney in drawing up lease agreements which the property manager will handle themselves.
Thanks!
Nick

I can't speak to other states, but here in Texas a PM who is a member of TAR has access to all the TAR contracts and forms. And those were drawn up by attorneys. All the PM has to do is fill in the blanks.
If the PM in the state where you're buying doesn't have access to something like that, I would definitely use a real estate attorney to draw up your leases, etc.
