Of course my great tenant and friend who is moving this month accidently left the oven on when she left one day last week and smoked my whole house out. Really bad when I got there the place was pitch black I could barely see to shut it down. She has offered to pay for new oven and the cleaning . I have a tenant ready to go on the 1st  but the place stinks!!!! Any  advice or known tried & true methods to remove odor ? Luckily no rugs . Place is empty so I just need to clean and deoderize

Please help if you can

Thanks

Chris

There are definitely company's around that will take care of this type of thing. From what I understand it basically involves getting rid of or cleaning any fabrics/carpets, then cleaning all surfaces, I think the cleaning solution is called TSP or something like that. Then painting. They also bring in a deionizing (??) air circulator that basically scrubs the air clean. This circulator is suppose to work miracles.

We had a company give us a quote for our entire 1000sq ft house that was smoked in for 50 years before we bought it. It was like 5 grand. We opted to gut the house and rehab it entirely. Maybe that will give you a good guess on price.
