Useful Tip: Text Messages

Here is a useful tip for all the landlords out there. Do your tenants have a cell phone? Most cell phones now have text messaging features where you can send a message to someone that they can read at any time. Most people know that you can send a text message with from one cell phone to another, but did you know that you can do this from anywhere on the internet?

It's actually a lot easier than you think. All you really have to do is know your tenant's phone number and know who is their cell phone provider. Once you know these two things you can send an email to [email protected].

Text messages can be a nice replacement for email. I don't know how many of my tenants use email, but I haven't met a tenant yet that didn't have a cell phone. This can be quite useful if you want to send them a short message such as "Don't forget I will need your rent by Friday."
