Hello,

I always go to Craig's list when searching for practically anything, so of course I list my vacant units there first. Could anybody suggest other places online I could advertise for maximum visibility ?

@Michael Beninati we get the best results from a "For Rent" sign placed in the front yard, but most of our properties are on a main street.

In addition to CL, I started using RegisterSigns.com recently. I purchased a large RegisterSigns For Rent Text for Info sign from Lowe's (it's blue and black, instead of red and white), but you can also print a free sign from their site, or add the info to a regular sign. It allows you to give prospective tenants a short link web page for the unit, also they can text a code to a text number and get the link to view the listing. From this site you can also send your listing info to all the major sites like Zillow, Trulia and Hotpads. For a small fee, you can get reports for insight on where your leads are coming from. 

I also set up a Google voice number and set it to "Do Not Disturb" so that it automatically goes to VM. My VM message gives the specifics on this unit and allows them to leave a message if they are interested in seeing it. I then get transcripts of the messages sent directly to my email. I love this since I don't have to repeat myself over and over again and it weeds out those that are interested.

I have not had good experiences with CL. The only responses I get are people asking if I take Section 8. Most of my good leads have come from the physical sign and the major listing sites like Zillow.

I noticed that Cozy has an option for you to set up a listing and have it sent to Realtor.com. I am really interested in that as well, since it seems you can only list there if on the MLS. Worth looking into.
