Advice on Financing for Duplexes
I am new to REI and looking to purchase my first multi-family property. I came across 2 multi-family properties (2 duplexes) for sale by owner who is motivated, eager to move in another city --- not wanting to manage the property long-distance, and willing to work with the buyer. The property is 6 years old, in a pretty good neighborhood (safe enough that I can live in). One duplex property is for $197,000 and the other for $182,000 all in same community, with long term tenants bringing in total rent amount of $3400/mo.
I plan to get the property appraised and inspected before deciding. However, what are some ideas/advice you guys have on financing with as little money down as possible? I considered opening a business account with business credit, get with brokers for private lending options. But like I said, I've been educating myself with real estate and doing the real thing is something I've not done. What are your thoughts for me to take next?
