New Owner evicting Tenant

Good afternoon investors,

I am in an odd predicament as I purchased an investment property in New Orleans LA with the Previous owners tenants living there. There was no lease In place & I have requested them to move out a month ago with a formal eviction letter. They haven't left, What documentation do I need to bring to court in order to evict these people?

Regards, thanks in advance.

We have to give them a 5 day notice to vacate, can't really say if your "formal eviction letter" would suffice. If it were me I would go ahead and do the 5 day just in case. If they haven't left in 5 days you can start the eviction process. You will need to take your proof of ownership and a copy of the notice to court. If you need I would be happy to email you the 5 day notice that we use.
