Tenant on Dave Ramsey plan

Hello all, 

I am wondering if any landlord has had a tenant who was behind on rent come to them and say, " I am on the Dave Ramsey plan and I don't plan on being late again." If so how did you respond?

Hi @Stephanie Garcia.  I like Dave Ramsey.  I wish more renters would follow his advice of living frugally, minimizing expenses and getting out of debt.  That being said, I've been promised many things before by people behind on rent payments.  Most often things don't change.

Are you in the going through the eviction process?  I would tell them you are glad to hear they are doing the Dave Ramsey system, and glad to hear you can expect on time rent payments.  Make sure they know that the fact they are going through the program does not buy them additional rent leeway.
