Danger Falling Ice and Snow Warning Signs

I live in Burlington VT, Vermont, and am about to triple the number of units I manage here. I see the "Danger Falling Ice and Snow" warning signs on buildings all over town. Are these something I need to put on my buildings? Is there really any legal proactive advantage to this?

Thoughts? Do any of you landlords/managers use posted warning signs of any type?
