Estoppel letter, when can I legally get this?
buying rentals in Florida and I asked our realtor to get info so we could meet with current tenants to get estoppel letter on a rental we are buying. I was told that we are not allowed to meet with the tenants prior to closing and its up to the current owner to allow this meeting. From what I am reading, we are allowed to get this information prior to closing, can someone please advise on this? Thank you.

Yes, it should have been in your contract, but I always try to be reasonable. But when someone else is not reasonable.....there's nothing the owner can do about you simply knocking on the tenant's door. You absolutely need to know what deposits the tenants have, and how much rent they are really paying, and anything else they might want to tell you.
