Please help in WA state

Hi, I'm new to this board and had a question I could really use some help with.

So, three of my friends and I decided to rent a house. One of my "friends"(we'll call him Jack, knew the landlord from childhood and took care of the communication, setting the lease up and what not. I signed the lease as well as Jack, with the 2 other roommates were listed as living there. Well, a couple of the roommates including 'Jack' got into drugs a little bit. He being the great guy that he is decided to call the landlord and blame his use on his fellow roommates(he might not have admitted to anything and just informed the landlord that we were all abusing illegal drugs, as I was not privy to any conversations). I realize now being on the lease I should've taken a much more active role in this process.

Shortly after the landlord informed us through 'Jack' of course, that we had one week to pack our stuff and get out or he would get us evicted within 24 hours. He stated that there was a clause in the lease forbidding drug use and if broken the tenants had 24 hours to vacate. Also, one of the roommates who was not allowed to have cats had brought them over to live. 'Jack' knew the landlord and foolishly I opted to let him handle things of that nature as I had never even spoken to the landlord and figured they must've worked something out. I found out later the roommate who owned the cats had payed 'Jack' on the side to keep the there.

So, we moved out in the middle of the month. Now, here comes the kicker. The other 2 roommates and I left, while Jack, who was the problem in the first place (meth use, stealing and lying the landlord). Is now subleasing to other roommates.

My question in the matter is without any written notice or me signing anything am I still on the lease? I was told that I've been absolved but I just don't see how that would be the case w/out any court date and/or paperwork. I've never been kicked out of anywhere or evicted to I don't really know how any of this works. Honestly, I feel bullied.

I never received a cent of the my half of the $1350.00 security deposit. There was some carpet damage but it was very minimal and the carpet was not cleaned before we moved in. Also, it was literally coming apart at the seams, so I have no idea how we could be held responsible for that.

In closing 'Jack" wanted new roommates so he admitted drug use and cats and got us all kicked out(legal or not). He has a history of severe mental issues and is diagnosed bipolar with schizophrenic tendencies, all of which I did now about when I signed the lease. This has been one of the worst experiences of my life and I only lived there a month and a half.

My question is: Is there any way I can get at least part of my security deposit back?
Also, it almost seems like fraud what took place, kicking everyone out and resigning a
with one of the guys?

Thank you very much for reading this long post, I'm just so confused and don't really understand the law whatsoever. I really did try the search on my own but could not find the answers I was looking for. If anyone knows the answer to my question or lives in the Vancouver, WA area please let me know. Any help oe]r Have a good day!

PS: The other two individuals who lived there can fully verify my story, they aren't too pleased about what went don't either!

ANY ADVICE WOULD BE HELPFUL .
