unauthorized vehicle being hidden in garage
First time landlord here. It's way more stressful than I thought. My tenant rented my single family home knowing that some things weren't finished being done with the updates and that the detached garage was unsafe for parking. I also had verbally told them that one side of the garage was for us to store materials and they could put unvaluable items in storage on the other side. They were allowed 2 vehicles.
I now find out that they are storing a family members vehicle in the garage. I have asked them to have it removed from the property and out of the garage and they told me it was none of my business. Needless to say NOW I am furious. Any suggestions?

Yup, landlording can be stressful! But most of the stress is avoided with proper and clear guidelines in place.
Does your lease state that they can't store the car there? If not, then well...they are using their space for storing one large item. It is, after all, an area for parking cars. Don't take it personal though. Don't get furious. Stay professional and neutral.
But you shouldn't even rent out a property that isn't 100% rent ready. And to allow them in a garage that is unsafe is really risky for you to do. You need to get that property, including the garage, completely fixed asap.
Also, I would never personally store my stuff in the same area as them. Too much chance of your things going missing or them claim that their things are going missing.
