increasing rent by 29%

I live in Manteca, CA. In a 2 bedroom apt. My rent when I moved in was 940.00 a month I thought that was high for central California. After my lease was up the rent went to 1010.00 which was about 9 months ago. I just got a letter saying my rent is going to be increased to 1300.00 that's a 29% increase. I don't give two ***** what fixing up your doing to the outside of the apartments cause the insides suck.

My AC doesn't get my place below 85 and its running 24/7. I have told them 3 times and they say theres nothing wrong with it. My electric bill is over 200.00 a month. ohh and I forgot that I also pay 66.00 a month for water and trash which is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. There are 150 apartments at this complex. they trying to say it costs them 10,000.00 a month for water and trash. Pulling in 200,000.00 a month from rents paid and they cant fix my AC.

All my bathrooms and kitchen have no GFi plugs, my cabinets are painted brown with a roller by a 7 year old.  The tub looks stained and about 25 years old. The refrigerator is so old it vibrates the floor and it runs 20 hours a day putting off a 15 degree increase in heat coming from the kitchen to a room where the AC doesn't work.

 They want 1300.00 a month for a 2 bedroom.

Good luck im moving out and I hope the other 149 do then same cause you can rent a 3 bedroom house with a pool for 1600.00.
