And I got a call this morning from a tenant .   They wanted my insurance info . I am thinking something happened to the house .  So I asked what the problem was .

" We had friends over and you know that big tree in the front yard , well a big branch came down and crushed my buddys car roof . "

So I drive over there this morning .

Where was he parked ?

" Well ,in the grass "

There are no tire tracks in the grass .

" Maybe in the road "

Was It this tree ?  Thats not mine

" Its in the front yard "

No its in the county right of way ,  I have sent them emails about trimming it twice .

" What about the insurance "

Sorry , he cant claim it on my insurance ,its not my tree , your buddy shouldn't have parked in the grass , nobody is allowed to park on the lawn .  Call the county and see what they say . Or try your renters insurance .

" so you wont pay ? "

No , thats called an act of god , his auto insurance covers that if he has full coverage . If he doesnt  he is out of luck.
