Renting to a foreign exchange student

I had an HR coordinator from Home Depot contact me a few days ago. They have a foreign exchange guy working for them for a few months. He is looking for a place to live...just got into the state 5 days ago? What type of vetting would you do before renting to someone in this situation? I met him yesterday and he likes the place. I'd like to be sure to cross my T's and dot my I's.
