PM and owner move in checklist

Hello everyone

Is it typical for the Property Management to give a copy of the move in checklist ( also called Inventory and Condition form) to the owner? I have rental home through a turnkey company but no such copy was issued to me after the move in even though they advertise in their website that they do perfform it.

Anyone has experience with that?

Thanks in advance

PM companies don't always provide it to the owners, no. Many will just keep it on hand for the move-out, or if needed.

I wouldn't automatically assume that a pm is lazy if they don't provide it. Many owners prefer to be "hands off" and don't want copies of the checklist.

In fact, I have found that in many cases the owner/pm relationships are best when the owner is less-involved. As a property manager myself, I can think of several instances where I could have saved the owner more money if they wouldn't have gotten so involved.
