How many pets do you allow?
I am interested to hear from others, how many pets do you allow? Does it vary according to type (dog vs cat, dog and cat, ferret and snake, whatever...), weight etc? Does it depend on the size of the unit? If so, how many for a studio vs how many for a 3 br?
What guides you in your philosophy and rules about your pet limits/policy?
Do you require vet papers?
I guess the question may be more of, what is your pet policy? But only looking for answers from those who do allow pets, not from those who don't. Thank you and looking forward to reading your responses!

It kind of depends on the property. In general I allow pets because people with a dog or cat seems to be a longer term tenant. I have a separate pet addendum and approval of pets. I actually haven't had any problems with animals yet. Since I rent in a rural area, some of my tenants have chickens and I am prepared for other animals as well. My best tenant has a baby goat staying in her laundry room right now because it has a broken leg. I actually suggested it when she was asking where it would be dry since we are having torrential rains.
