Paying gas/elec security deposit for tenant
I have my first real property after becoming an accidental landlord. I want to transfer the gas and electric to them and there is a security deposit they they are required to pay to those companies. Should I be paying for it or should the tenant?
Thanks
Mark

As @Chuy Gonzalez said, the tenant should pay. I always require proof of utilities transfer before handing over the key.
