Landlord Notifies Renter of Sale Two Weeks After Move-in

Hi,

I have a situation with my landlord and I'm looking for the best way to resolve it for both sides.

I recently moved into a room I found on Craigslist. I moved from my old place because I wanted to make sure I did not have to move during the semester, as I am a grad school student. Two weeks after I moved into this place, the landlord surprised all the tenants by announcing that she was selling the house. She had previously told them she wasn't selling for another year, and that's what they told me when showing me the house. The landlord knew my move-in date two weeks in advance, yet she only notified me of her plans after I had paid the security deposit and first month's rent. I would like to resolve this amicably but I feel that she owes me something for the time and expense of having to move again.

Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks in advance.
