Temporary mailbox solution

For all you handymen (and ladies)...

A snow plow apparently knocked the mailbox over at one of my properties. Miraculously, the mailbox is fine. It is one of the large plastic ones that slide down over a 4 x 4 cemented in the ground. The 4 x 4 is severed at the ground level. The ground here is frozen, so we probably can't dig another hole and cement it in right. Does anyone have any ideas for a temporary solution?

Around here, people will put a post in a 5 gallon bucket and pour cement around it and mount the mail box on the post until the ground thaws.
