Ins. Claim on rental prop - Is it ever okay?

I have heard this is a no no, but I don't recall ever hearing why it's bad.

I have confirmed hail damage on three roofs. Is there a down side if I file these as a claim? Am I guaranteed the policy will be cancelled?

I do not understand why it's bad to file a claim on rental property. Can someone clue me in about the ups and downs of this?

Thanks in advance.
