five day notice
I reside in Illinois, in December my landlord failed to repair the furnace for 5 days. I was without heat. She never repaired it, I kept asking about it being repaired, she says I was badgering her. So, on the fifth day I reported her to the city. Then, the mid-afternoon on the sixth day someone came out. All of those days without heat I had to pay to stay somewhere else and was not able to pay rent. Now, she has served me with a five day notice. Also, she has put a water bill that I don't owe her, because the bill is in my name. She has also included rent for January, which is not due until January 19, 2015. But, she served me today 1/16/2015. Can someone please advise me with how to dispute this/ ,or what I should do?
