good prices, bad tenants
About 20 minutes away from where I live is an area which has very cheap homes. It is not a bad area in respect of crime, but has a poor economy. When I asked the realtor I use, who has many rental properies, if this would be a good market to be in, he said no. He said that the tenants you get there are "human rats". They were a lot of work and always a problem, with lots of work on the property management side of things. He said he just recently pulled out of this market. Should I stick to his advice or go with my gut which tells me there is money to be made here.
