Prepaid Legal

N/A N/A
Posted

Hi all,
I own a few rental properties in IL and don't have a lawyer. I was thinking I need one if I ever need to evict (may be happening soon) etc. Does anyone use Prepaid Legal or have any educated opinions about it? Or should I just have a local lawyer that I pay as needed?

I also need to create an LLC and wasn't sure if Prepaid Legal handled setting those up. Thanks!

I had 3 rental properties (11 units total) and LegalShield came in VERY handy.  Questions about emotional support animals, breaking leases, contractor repair issues, non payment of rent, lease review, 1031 exchanges, etc.  I would not be without it.  When it was first shown to me I did not think I would have a need for the services (I am an attorney), but I don't want to spend my time researching everything.  I'm too busy.  Calling directly into the law firm and getting quick assistance was valuable.  They even did a ton of research on a few topics for me, at no charge.
