New to bigger pockets
Hello all,
I am new to this form and have recently diversified my investments. We have a rental SFH in the mid west for the past 6 years with pretty good success (good tenants, consistent rent). We recently purchased and rented 2 low income SFH in South New Jersey and are looking for others. Our goal with our low income properties is to increase our portfolio by 1-2 units/year and do our due diligence in the tenant selection process. Our hope is to find "older tenants" who will potentially stay for 3+ years. We do this by competing with the section 8 bible minimalist by going slightly above the minimum and taking time to get to know applicants and saying no to a lot of people.
Am I an optimist or will I be hardened over time ?
