Bad Credit Tenant

Do any of y'all in the Houston area rent to tenants with bad credit? I am a Realtor working with a client who has been living in an extended stay motel for the last 2 years because he has bad credit and unable to find a place that does not require good credit. He has a wife and small child, looking for 2 bedrooms on the southeast side of Houston, possibly Clear Lake or Texas City area. Any suggestions on how I can help find him a place to live?
