Accepting new tenants
We have one of our properties for rent and are accepting applications. One of the applicants reached out stating his credit score is 550 (our requirement is 600) but his wife’s credit score is 750. I informed him that his wife would have to apply and if everything checks out then we would need a background check on him before moving forward. He then informs me that his wife’s income is apx. $3000 (our requirement is 3x the rent which is $1750) but his is apx. $6000. What would be the best way moving forward with this applicant since one does not fully meet our minimum requirements? Thank you for your advice in advance.
