Dealing with mentally unstable tenant

Jome K.
Posted

Hi guys.  I have a single family home in Los Angeles County, Antelope Valley.  The tenant is mentally unstable, didn't pay rent over a year, got evicted, forced out by the Sheriff and kept coming back to the property by breaking locks and lock picking. The police did not arrest her the 1st time. But the second time they came, she got arrested and has since gotten out of jail, threatening to sue me for stealing her stuff and evicting her fraudulently.  The police who arrested her said she was not "all there".  She has made false and unverified claims against me time and time again.

How do I deal with such a tenant?

Thanks for reading.

See if you can get a restraining order.  Not sure if they can also say do not go near the home, but worth a call to find out.

I'm with Theresa. Get a restraining order, no trespass order, and anything else you can throw at her. If she shows up again, have her arrested again.
