Tenant with significant health issues
I just heard from a tenant who's having like appendicitis and a possible recurrence of cancer that she had to deal with a few years ago. First thing I said is just sorry let me know how I can help. She mentioned she may be late on next rent check, and I'm frankly not sure why, but I said yea of course no problem. But like bigger picture, has anyone dealt with something like this (fully acknowledging that anything I may deal with pales in comparison to what she's dealing with)? I'm going to be as lenient as possible I just worry that she could fall 1-2-3 months behind and it's just a really delicate situation to try to collect when she's having major health issues.
Any thoughts would be helpful and hopefully it all just turns out to be ok.
