how much time to cure breach of rental agreement

Hi All

I just found out that one of my tenants has a pit bull type dog

Not too long ago, I had all my tenants sign a rental addendum acknowledging that certain breeds are not allowed (like pit bulls)

The good news is that the tenant says they will get rid of the dog as the tenant says he was waiting for a relative to reclaim the dog but for whatever reason, it's taken longer than it should

I plan to give them a notice of breach but I wasn't sure how long is a reasonable time to cure the breach

Is one month the typical time to cure non-rent payment breaches? One month seems long to me but if that's the norm.

One week seems too short and probably wouldn't hold up in court - just my guess

Thanks
