About to close on first rental property input on next steps

Posted

So my wife and I live in Oceanside, CA and are about to close on our first rental property in Cleveland, OH. The property currently has a tenant on lease until next month. Upon closing tomorrow we will talk to the tenant to see what their plans are moving forward. My question(s) are besides getting a new lease agreement in place what else should I be taking care of immediately and/or in the short term. Being our first property I'm just trying to make sure we don't overlook anything like insurance, utilities, etc. Thanks in advance for the valuable input.
