Parking Garage / pads
Hello,
Would like to get some feedback on a situation I’ve had come up in the last couple days.
4 unit condo, I own 1 unit and attached parking garage space.
Current tenant owns a pickup truck that they say will not fit in the assigned and permitted garage space. Tenant “traded” the parking space (parking pad) outside for the garage space with the unit/tenant living above them. If it works for both tenants I am ok with it. Legally, I am wondering if I should get some paperwork drawn up regarding any damages/maintenance related issues that may arise. Or any other legal/liability paperwork for that matter?
Another issue is I am unsure if the parking pad outside is an assigned and permitted parking zone to the unit or if it is a first come first serve/ guest parking spot. I will be getting clarification on that in the coming days.
Thanks in advance.
