New person with Interest in earning income through rental property. How to start?!

Hello! I was recommended this forum and podcast from a stranger after having a conversation about passive income. I have a lower middle class family and lifestyle. I am blessed no doubt about it!!! However, at this point in my life I am looking to add a second stream of income and I want it to be as hands off as possible. Rental Property or properties is one idea. I do the typical ROTH IRA investing as well as following many of Dave Ramsey's principles. I am looking to branch off from that a little bit. How should I get started with rental properties? Is it even a good idea as a passive income. Does anybody have any sources like books, podcasts, youtube, or other ways to digest information?! I owe 60K on my current home so we are not completely debt free yet. I have a good life BUT I'd also like to have a good life with more money to spend :) Any information is honestly, greatly appreciated! I don't where to start or IF I should even consider it.
