I rented my first property to a lady that she divorced and had many changes in her life. She renewed the contract for a year and she stop paying rent and answering text and calls. I hired a lawyer and finally 1/9 we will evict her from my home and she appealed and I have to go to court again.  The lawyer told me I should pay for storage and to place all her belongings and pay for a month.  Question, should I pay storage for a month? she owes me over $10K. Please need help

If you don’t trust your lawyer, fire them and start over. If you do trust them and assume they more than you, follow their advice. Can you imagine writing them a check for $5k a month from now because you illegally threw out their stuff?

Ask the lawyer if you’re allowed to sell everything after that month and recoup your costs. At least they’re out and you’re making progress. Good luck.
