Decreasing my asking rent price
BP,
I recently purchased a 4 bedroom 1.5 baths with a huge lot in SC, which is pretty rare as 3 bedrooms are the norm. I renovated the entire house, new flooring, new ceiling fans, sliding glass doors, finished laundry room, new washer and dryer and new vanities and toilets in both bathrooms. I looked at a various websites (Zillow, Craig’s List, Realtor.com, and local new papers) to gage what a house of this size would rent for which is between $800-$925 per month and I am asking $900. After conversing with my property manager he stated that he has shown the property several times but most applicants are turned off by the asking rent asking price. I own the house out right so should I lower my asking price and wait for the right tenant or should I take the rent down lower? I look forward to your personal perspectives and feedback.
