Are squatters legally removed from properties before they go to Auction?
Hello, I live in California and was considering buying a foreclosed home.
Would I be responsible for evicting the squatters, or would the bank
foreclosing on the property legally remove them before me taking official ownership?
Is there any way to know if the property has squatters when bidding on the property
at auction?

The buyer is responsible for removing prior owners, tenants, squatters etc
It is pretty easy to tell if a property is occupied assuming you are physically going to them prior to bidding.
