getting investment load w/no landlord experience

Hey guys

I'm looking to get into land lording and found a great deal on an inexpensive property. The problem is I have no experience as a landlord and all the major lenders won't consider someone without at least 2 years experience for an investment loan (even though I can put down 20%+ down payment).

Someone suggested I get a loan as primary residence and turn around and rent it out. Is this possible?? What kind of trouble am I looking at if my lender finds out? Any help/advise would be greatly appeciated.

Thank you!
