Abandoned Property Next Door

Good morning all! I have a beginner question. Does anyone have any experience with investing into a rental property that has a connected (row house) abandoned property next door? What should I look for? Should I even consider continuing trying to pursue this property? The subject property is reasonably priced for its current condition and it is an REO property.

Any information is greatly appreciated.

Try to find the owner of the vacant house and see if they might be interested in selling, maybe you could wholesale it. Does it look bad? Full of homeless people at night? I guess it depends on the condition; if it doesn't look bad then it's probably not a big deal.
