Property damage - freak accident

Sarah Kisch
Posted

Tenant hired a moving company, movers lifted up couch, couch was stuck to floor and ripped up a chunk of the composite flooring with it. Now I have a hole in the middle of the living room which can only be replaced by removing and replacing the entire floor as this particular flooring is no longer made. Of course. Who pays for the floor? Me? Her? Insurance? Movers? Important side note: her deposit is already claimed by other damages that MUST be fixed before re-

renting. Does anyone have any ideas on how to proceed? I realise this is the risks we take, just hoping someone sees a loophole that im not. TIA
