Hi,

Any ways to make chain link fences more private. Any material I can use to cover the chain link fence so that people from outside cannot see inside the property area.
Thanks,

Thank you. I have about 140 feet of back chain link fence and 6 feet high. I am looking for some cheaper option to cover the fence mainly on the back fence (as a gas station and some stores came there). This product says i have to make holes that may damage the product and reduce privacy right?

They make vinyl slats that slide right into chain link to make it more private, some even look like a hedge.  We've used these with great success.  It doesn't stop a lookie loo from peeking between the cracks or over the fence, but honestly no product is going to stop that completely.

Here's some examples on AMZ:  https://www.amazon.com/Chain-Link-Fence-Slats/s?k=Chain+Link...

There are slats you can put in.  Google chain link privacy screen and you should see options on amazon.  There are also the tarp like screens you can tie on which would go up faster.

I'd use slats as mentioned above or maybe the artificial greenery panels that can be attached to a fence for privacy.

I never used slates. Do they give privacy or has lot of gaps and holes in between?

I saw below product in home depot bit cheaper not sure how good is quality and how long it lasts

You want to use something that is UV stabilized-such as the vinyl slats people have mentioned. Some of those weed blocks are not UV stabilized and will break down if they are not covered with mulch. If you are going to use a sheet product, research how long it will last in direct sunlight.

I came here to say this. They also make the black mesh that is designed to span various heights/lengths of chain link fencing. --> https://www.uline.com/Product/Detail/S-

If combined with the vinyl slats it would be very difficult to see through.

any thing i can purchase in local home depot or lowes etc. so that if I do not like I can easily return. Slates seems to involve lot of work to put it on may need to hire handyman to do that job which again cost lot of money. Also slates still have big gaps in between does not seem to provide complete privacy as well
