What should I do with my vacant property

Posted

I evicted my tenant back in July and after fixing all the mess they left behind, I signed a six week contract with a realtor to find a long-term tenant but no one completed an application. At the end of this contract to lease, I changed to another realtor and signed a four week contract. This is week two. It is no longer sustainable for me to continue to pay the mortgage and I would like some suggestions of what to do in the event that the second realtor does not find a suitable tenant. I have never used property managers and would like to know if I should consider this route. If so, how does it work? Do they have a guaranteed rent contractual agreement which means my rent is guaranteed if I have a contract with them. Any reputable property managers to recommend? What about Airbnb - what are the pros and cons of having an Airbnb super host take over and manage it as STR?

Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
