Looking for Legal Advice

I had a tenant move out at the beginning of September. She only gave me a 5-day notice that she needed to move. I typically always sign a 12-month lease which would have expired at the end of October. However, we ended up doing a 6-month lease because she wasn’t sure about her job. She works for Marshall’s and they had been talking about moving her to a different location. Life got busy and we both completely forgot about the lease expiring in April.
So here is my dilemma, I used the lease from the Bigger Pockets and failed to notice that it didn’t have any verbiage regarding a 30-day notice for move-out or that when the lease expired it would convert to a month-to-month lease. Even though this isn’t in the lease can I still withhold September rent from her balance of the security deposit?
