Increasing Rent in NYC-Long Island??
Hello Bigger Pockets Family!!
I am a new investor and due to close on a multifamily that I will be house hacking. I will be inheriting non lease, month to month tenants and I would like to increase rent (they are currently paying 5-600 under market). This property is in Long Island NYC and I'm asking a 2 part question:
1. How much can I raise rent legally?
2. How do I go about this increase?
Thanks
- Bryan
