Detroit rent house shot up 😬

My 1st out of state rental property and this happens. Yuck! Taking a breathe before I take action. Property Management is getting me a quote for repairs but doesn't know if other houses were hit. Luckily the tenants were out of town at the time and filed a police report when they got back. I'm thinking I'll call the police department and see if any neighbors reported the incident, or if any other houses were shot. Did this seem to be random or was this house targeted?

Initially I was just so glad the tenants weren't home, but I'm wondering if maybe they were being targeted and that will affect whether or not I offer to renew at the end of their lease.

Any other things I should be considering so far or other things to look out for? Surely somebody else has dealt with this before.
