Removal of Tenant’s Possessions

Mia Rose Wong
Posted

Hello, our tenant unfortunately passed away and we’re trying to understand the legalities of taking possession of our rental property. We were contacted by the tenant’s daughter who informed us that they would remove the tenant’s belongings, but the daughter is now no longer answering our calls/responding. We understand it is a difficult time for the family, but want to know at what point can we go in and remove the belongings, especially if the daughter is now no longer responding to us?

Mia, check out Harry Heist. Bookmark his website and use him as a resource. He is a fantastic Florida attorney and investor. He addresses this particular issue: https://evict.com/death-of-the...
